David Michael Tringali

David Michael Tringali took his final curtain call on April 23, 2016 after a long and courageous fight with heart disease and complications thereof. Born on October 14, 1953, Mr. Tringali is preceded in death by his loving parents, Guiseppe Tringali and Josephine Siracusano Tringali, and his life partner, Billie M. Cox. David was a favorite local community theatre personality having appeared in and directed dozens of productions spanning several decades, especially at the NORD Theatre, with his mentor and friend, Ty Tracy. In recent years, Mr. Tringali was a Board Member for Crescent City Lights Youth Theatre and was awarded the 2013 Jay Stanley Marquee Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatre. David was a proud graduate of Jesuit High School and Tulane University and enjoyed a long career in the hotel and hospitality industry including Director of Operations at the Bombay Club. A devout Catholic, David volunteered for many charitable organizations including the Center for Jesus the Lord where he was the executive chef. Along with his partner, Billie, David would be seen each and every Sunday greeting parishioners at St. Louis Cathedral as a volunteer Minister of Hospitality. David is survived by his dear friend, Johnny Oliver and numerous friends, students and fans. On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, the 12:05 Mass at St. Louis Cathedral will be celebrated for his intention.
