George Joseph "Poochie" Trosclair, Sr. passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. Beloved son of the late Klebert J. Trosclair, Jr., Edwina Deemer Trosclair, Myrtle Deemer Fink and Lloyd Fink. Brother of Clabert "Boy" Trosclair, III. (the late Karen), the late Jeanette T. Legendre (Emile) and Mary Anne T. Hingle (Theophile). Father of Jeanne Percle (Terry), Denise McNabb (Pat), Cherry Melton (Robert), George Trosclair (Lynn), Angele Hepting (Joey), Michele Trosclair (Jason), Darren Trosclair (Rocky) and Cy Trosclair (Stacy). Beloved Uncle of Toye T. Bruce, Kim T. Cascio, Keith Trosclair and Dwayne Hingle. Also survived by 30 beautiful grandchildren and 38 beautiful great grandchildren. Lifetime best friend of Larry "Capt. Larry" Tillotson (Patricia) and his running buddy "Spider". Age 80 years. A lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Mr. Trosclair worked for Oceanic Contractors and McDermott throughout his life and retired from Todd Shipyard. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
