Ala Ruth Cooley

Ala Ruth Morgan Cooley, age 96 years, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Beloved Wife of the late David E. Cooley, Sr. Mother of Dona Anne Foss (Dixon), David E. Cooley, Jr. (Natasha), Kathryn Cooley, Jackson M. Cooley (Gretchen) and Linda Latour (Farrell). Sister of the late C.M. Morgan, Helen Morgan and Jackson Morgan. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A native of Hattiesburg, MS., and a longtime resident of Slidell. She taught Kindergarten here in Slidell for many years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy 422, Slidell, LA, on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Slidell.
