So saddened by the loss of such a fine man. I've been knowing Don for many years through Napa,Civil Construction and St.Rosalie. He was always such a nice person and a joy to be around. A great husband, father and friend to all who knew him. You will be missed my friend. Don and his family are in my prayers.

I remember going to the Dauzat's house when I was a little girl.Melvin is my godfather,Esther was my godmother.I remember playing dolls with Kathy and I remember one year Robert and Don made and painted two little bears for me to hang on my bedroom wall.I didn't see the family in a long time, but a few years before my godmother passed a way I got back in touch with her and started writing to her.Even though I haven't seen this family in a long time I still have good memories of them and being at their house and I never forgot them they're always will be in my heart and I never forgot who my godparents are.My heart goes out to you all, and you will be in my prayers.

I worked with Don in the Men's Club at St. Rosalie. He helped me transition into the job of secretary, which he held for many years. He is a great man. Jody, Courtney, and Craig, today you launched a guardian into heaven, and it was a beautiful and fitting sendoff.

Jody, Craig and Courtney, we only knew your dad from Church and the fair, but I know he was an extremely nice person and an outstanding family man. Jody, Craig and Courtney, Don was an absolutely genuinely nice guy. We have so many wonderful memories of Scouting camping and field trips.
