Chad Babin Obituary

Chad Michael Babin, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on June 1, 2015 at the age of 32. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Mary's Nativity Church in Raceland from 9:00 am until service time. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Chad is survived by his daughter, Jaylyn West Babin; son, Jayce Christopher Babin; father, Clyde J. Babin; sister, Angie Babin Champagne and brother, Joseph P. Babin. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vickie L. Babin and grandparents, Joseph and Bernice Babin. The family would like to request western wear or casual clothing to all those in attendance at the service. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

when my late wife an i met chad he became apart of our family immediately as my late wife had family in Raceland. i lost my wife in 2013 an lost track of Chad afterwards although he had came with his daughter and visited. such a loss to all of us as he was so full of life and love and was a delight to be around. hopefully family and friends remember him as a really good person that we all loved an enjoyed. GOD BLESS

chad came into my wife an i life with a burst of energy an laughter. he trained horses for us during that time an left us with memories an love that still last today as it was yesterday an i think of him often. my late wife had family near raceland an they talked often about different folks as well as french. god bless the family an well wishes to all.

Chad's personality is something many people should learn from. To have such a warm caring heart, a cheerful fun attitude, a giving nature, a free spirted person, it's rare these days from a person his age. Ken loved him as a child. I met him when he was a teen and immediately felt like I knew him from the day he was born. He made people laugh no matter what kind of mood you were in. Just the sound of his voice brightened up any place. Your wonderful personality will live on in your daughter and son. You will be missed by so many people. We love you!!
