I am saddened today to learn of Sonny's passing. I was 9 years old when I met him, and he was a teenager. I was his sister's best friend, and I would spend weekends at their house. He was always coming and going, telling jokes and pulling pranks on people. A typical teenager. Every time I hear the song, "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation", I think of Sonny because that song was always playing when he was in the house. As the mother of two marines, I thank him for his service to our country. Rest in peace Sonny. You are fondly remembered.

Sonny you came into my life when I was 4 year old. From that day on I was your daughter. As a kid we loved going to the races, demolition derby, the drive in and picnic at pontchtrain beach and the lake front, and swimming in the back yard pool. You always told me to go play in traffic and we fought over the remote control, you loved life and taught me how. You gave me a great childhood. Here's to clean living and good times. Get ready heaven here comes a true party starter. Love always, Joanna
