Leverna 'Genie' Broom-McGinnis

Leverna "Genie" Broom-McGinnis, on October 23, 2015 in Houston, TX. Preceded in death by her parents Roland and Delores Freeman Broom. She leaves to cherish her memories, children Shantell and Krystal Broom, Dantae, Brandi, Jay, Tenile, Trenai, Endia (Aaron Green) and Kaci McGinnis. Siblings Althea Clarkson, Evelyn McGriff, Karon McGriff Mitchell, Carmen Howse, Janice Nance, Roland Jr., Terrel and Glenn Broom Sr. She also leaves behind, a daughter-in-law Catherine Broom, 24 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister Catherine Freeman and son Armeiko Broom. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, Gretna, LA, Pastor Dohlman Brown officiating, 1301 Solon St., Gretna, LA.
