Joseph Harold Stutson, age 83 years old went to be with his Lord in heaven unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2016 in Jefferson, Louisiana. Beloved husband of Sara Birdie Stutson for the past 56 years. Son of the late Adelaide and Harold Stutson. Father of Joseph H. Stutson, Jr. (Lori O. Stutson), Debbie Stutson Lemoine (Scott J. Lemoine) Donna Stutson Santanilla (Jairo Santanilla), and Roussell James Stutson (Alexis V. Stutson). Grandfather of Brandi S. Hooper (John Daniel), Dusti S.Tejeda (Jeffrey), Joseph H. Stutson, III (Amy), Cody Stutson, Kelsey Lemoine, Kandice Lemoine, Kyle Lemoine, Sophia Stutson, Royce Stutson, and Colt Stutson, Jairo Santanilla (Kathryn) and Lillian Welsh (Jason). Great-grandfather of John Daniel Hooper, Jack Warren Hooper, Elizabeth Hooper, Emily Hooper, Jeffrey Tejeda, Jr., Marissa Tejeda Gabriella Tejeda, Kayla Santanilla, Isabel Santanilla, Marisela Santanilla, Mickey Welsh, and Pablo Welsh. Brother of Harold Stutson, William Stutson and the late Audry Marshall, Dorothy Munster and Adelaide Trahan. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and served for many years. He was a dedicated employee of Petrolane Gas Company for over 45 years. Joseph enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his entire family with all his heart. He was also known as ""Birdie's co-pilot"". Wherever she went, he was not far behind. The love they shared for one another was incredible. He was a beloved Father and Grandfather. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Hwy, Jefferson, LA 70121 on Saturday, September 17, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a Catholic Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff of the CMICU Unit at Ochsner Hospital.
