Thelma Roe Roberts

NICHOLVILLE, NY: Thelma Roe Roberts, 91, was called home by Jesus, on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at the home of her son, where she was given the comfort and love of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on May 30, 1919 daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bertsel D. Roe. She married John W. Roberts on July 6, 1940 in Napoleon, Ohio. Mr. Roberts predeceased her on February 11, 1999. She was a loving wife and mother, whose love of God was passed to all she met. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Gibsonburg and attended the Lawrenceville Baptist Chapel locally. She enjoyed their camp in Canada, took pleasure playing the organ, looked forward to games of Skip Bo, and loved the companionship of her dog, Missy.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, John and Sara Roberts of Nicholville; grandchildren, Tom and Brooke Roberts, Lorie and Dan Ramsdell, Jennifer and James Woolston and Amy Roberts; great grandchildren, Brian, Zane and Cammie Ramsdell, Luke and Sadie Roberts, Nathan, Gavin and Levi Woolston.

Besides her husband; she was predeceased by her son, Tom in 1998.

A graveside service will be held March 18th at 2 p.m. at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
