I was sorry to hear of Dr. Thompson's passing. Since I was a History major at Tech, he was my advisor and could always be counted on to give sound, reliable advise, whether about which courses to take or other issues in general. Even more importantly, he and all the members of the Tech History Department were wonderfully supportive of my own parents in my Dad's final days. I will always remember my days at Tech and my memories of Dr. Thompson with great respect and affection. Prayers and best wishes for all the family.

He was a wonderful, caring and brilliant man and taught me much during the eleven years I worked for him. What a privilege it was to know and love him.
