Virginia Galloway Trout

Funeral services for Virginia Galloway Trout age 97, will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA with Dr. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born on August 9, 1916 in Arcadia to the union of Mary Fuller and William Young Galloway and passed away on Monday October 14, 2013 in Shreveport, LA.

Mrs. Trout was a long time resident of Ruston, LA, member of First Baptist Church and graduate of LA Tech. She was employed at LA Tech for 30 years as secretary to the president, retiring in 1970.

Mrs. Trout is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Robert Oren Trout, and her children Mary Virginia Cage and Barbara Bowman.

She is survived by six grandchildren: Laura Cage Wied, Mike Cage Jr, Elizabeth Cage Larose, Sara Cage Deshotel, Susan Bowman Foster and Joe Bowman Jr. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Bowman Jr, Dr. J. Michael Cage, Mike Cage Jr, Lance Foster and Jesse Wied.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Children's Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Ruston, LA
