Alisha Kirby Obituary
Funeral Services for Alisha Elizabeth Kirby, 14, West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Jon Tellifero and Rev. Shawn Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Alisha was born on February 22, 1996, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on February 8, 2011. She was a very talented artist and musician, playing the violin, viola and guitar. Alisha was a member of First United Methodist Church, the North Louisiana Youth Symphony Orchestra, Key Club, Chess Club and Drama. She enjoyed showing her dogs in AKC Junior Showmanship and was an outdoor enthusiast.
Alisha is survived by her parents, Brian and Michelle Kirby; brother, Brian T. Kirby II; paternal grandparents, Gary and Gayle Green; maternal grandmother, Kay Ford; paternal great grandparents, Beth Kirby, Vernia and Lesslie Smith; great aunt, Jessie Tate and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Comment Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Alisha's name to the Ouachita Parish School Board in Care of the North Louisiana Youth Symphony Orchestra, 100 Bry St. Monroe, LA 71201.

i had just met alisha at the beginning of this school year but we became instant friends we talked to each other everyday and said hey as we passed each other in the hall way. she is so funny and super sarcastic, and that is one of the things that made her who she was and nothing or no one can ever take that away from her, we all love you alisha.

Alisha was like an angel that we got to borrow for awhile. I remember how she liked showing Gage in the show ring. She always helped with the dogs and at Hunt Tests. We used to joke and tease riding around planting birds. We will miss our borrowed angel.
