Risenhoover Griffith
Funeral services for Mertie Langford Risenhoover Griffith, 73, of Monroe, LA will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
Mrs. Griffith was born on February 21, 1938 in Bienville, LA and passed away on December 7, 2011 in Monroe, LA. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, reading and loved her family. She was a member of Bayou Oaks Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Risenhoover Ditta and husband, Mike and Kathy Risenhoover Fontana and husband, Johnny; grandsons, Jason Ditta, Justin Ditta, Jonathan Fontana, and Jordy Fontana; sisters: Bertie Langford Haynie and Janet Langford Wise.
Pallbearers will be, Jason Ditta, Justin Ditta, Jonathan Fontana, Jordy Fontana, Mike Hammock, and Tommy Ditta.
The family extends special thanks to her nurse, Tina Koonce and caregivers, Cathy Thompson and Margaret Fontana.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to the time of the service at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
