Carol Jenss Obituary

Carol S. Jenss

Carol S. Jenss, age 72, of Winneconne, passed away in the early hours of April 3, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Oshkosh on September 2, 1942. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Omro High School.

Carol was employed at Wal-Mart as a sales associate for the past several years. She enjoyed work, so much so that she left early to get in a hand of cards with her other co-workers before her shift.

Carol had many things that she enjoyed doing from painting that she loved from a young age, spending time family, and doing word searches. One of her favorite things hands down was puzzles; any time she got a chance she was putting one together. Carol was always challenging herself by seeing how fast she could put one together. Her family never had to ask what to get her because the answer was always the same, a new puzzle. Even up until the very end she was putting them together.

Another one of her passions was playing cards; it didn't matter if it was rummy or UNO even Kings Corner. She was determined to play and beat anyone who wanted to play her. Gambling was something she enjoyed also, usually walking in with $20 and coming out with a lot more than that.

Carol is survived by her three sons, Malcolm (Tammy) Davis, Richard Davis, Dean (Vicky) Jenss; two sisters and two brothers, Nancy (Don) Rumlow, Judy (Dale) Butt, Michael (Rita) Koch, Terry (Sandy) Koch; grandchildren, Malcolm, Carly, Porter, Ricky (Becky), Justin, Ben, Alex, Amanda, Gena (Jeff), Adam (Sarah), Katie (Billy), and Cody; great-grandchildren, Austin, Kendra, Sierra, Zoey, McKenna, Aidyn, Raigyn, Izzy, Raina, Bradley, Zach, and Bear.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Koch and Albert Gollnick; step-father, Milton Koch; and her special friend, Marty Coughlin.

We would like to give a special thank you to Patty from Wal-Mart and to all her wonderful co-workers from Wal-Mart. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Dr. Virani and the staff at the Vince Lombardi Center, Dr. Wallace, and Aurora Hospice (Amanda and Ashley) you all have been wonderful, helpful, patient, caring, and kind to Carol and us as a family.

Per Carol's request there will be no funeral service.

Join us in a Celebration of Life. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, April 11 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Village Pub 235 W. Main St. Winneconne.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a incredible woman who brought MUCH laughter into my life with her "one of a kind" sense of humor. She always said things in such a way that would make me laugh so very hard and she always did it with a straight face. I first met Carol playing bingo and then would see her at the casino which she loved. I feel very blessed to have known Carol and will miss her very much. She loved her family beyond measure and always spoke so lovingly of her beloved step-father. Imagine the happy reunion she is having with all her loved ones! Godspeed, Carol!
