Joyce Steinert Obituary

Steinert, Joyce

Joyce Ann Steinert, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Oakwood Manor. She was born in Oshkosh on July 10, 1925, to William H. and Rose A. (Ryner) Miracle. Joyce married Gilbert E. Steinert in Oshkosh, on November 22, 1945. She was employed by Wisconsin Bell as a telephone operator and office clerk from 1951 to 1982. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved little children, and would babysit at any opportunity. In her later years, she had a joyful heart and always a smile on her face.

Joyce is survived by her son, Randolph L. (Kathy) Steinert of Neenah, grandson, Steven (Ann) Steinert; sisters, Alyce Little, LaVerne (Paul) Ulrich, and Donna Mathias; and brother, Harvey (Nancy) Miracle. She is further survived by special nephew, Mark Towey, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; brothers, Burton Miracle, William Miracle, James Miracle, Rollie Miracle; sisters, Arlene Boltler, Deanna Todd, and Lolus Towey.

Funeral Services for Joyce will be held at the Seefeld Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Joyce will be laid to rest at Brooks Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2013. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the comfort and care given to Joyce and her family, and to Oakwood Manor for their consistent loving care of Joyce. I had the absolute best time getting to know Joyce over the past year. She had the biggest, most caring heart ever. I will always remember Joyce for her big smile and her love for dogs. Rest in peace Joyce you will be greatly missed by all.
