Clarence Hyde Obituary
Clarence E. "Pudge" Hyde, age 82, passed away on Thursday, October 03, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on November 29, 1930 in Oshkosh, WI to Lester and Minnie (Kentopp) Hyde. He married the love of his life, Margie Hinz on February 7, 1953 in Oshkosh.
Clarence worked for many years at Johnson's Foods as a potato chip fryer.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing with his Utica Golf Club friends, bowling at T&O Lanes and Shoreview Lanes, and loved working on small engines.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Joe) Manser, Sue Hyde, and Barbara (David) Giebel all of Oshkosh; a daughter-in-law Shirley Hyde of Oshkosh; brother Gerald (Kathy) Hyde of Fox Lake; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Buss of Kenosha, Nathan (Katy) Manser of Houghton, MI, Hillary (significant other Justin Friebel) Peppler of Oshkosh, and David and Jack Giebel also of Oshkosh; and one great granddaughter Bethany Ann Buss.
He is further survived by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margie, son David, brother Donald Hyde, and three sisters, Alice Hyde, Lou (Smitty) Tracy, and Harriet Swann.
A funeral service for Clarence will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave.) on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
The family would like to send a thank you to Dr. Radford, Dr. Zornosa, and to Theda Care at Home for the loving care they provided for Clarence.
