William Huber Obituary

William A. Huber

Bill, age 70, went to be with the Lord November 29, 2010 surrounded with his family. He was born March 8, 1940 to Alvin W. and Gladys (Ames) Huber. He lived his entire life in Olympia.
He is survived by his Wife Cheryl, his loving brother Bob (Val) Huber and their six children, Brad Huber, Julie (Larry) England, Debby (Doug) Smith, Pamela (Rand) Iselin, Wayne (Carmon) Huber and Patty (Dondi) Wehinger. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, Aunt Laurie (Tom) Parshall and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill started working at an early age with his parents and brother on their many strawberry farms. He was taught that work came first and to do his best, from that beginning he went into construction with O & K Trucking, Tom Martin Construction. His last years were with Lakeside Industries where he advanced quickly to superintendant. He was well liked by all that called him boss. He had the ability to run many operations at the same time.
Retiring in 1997 he continued to work at home, spent time traveling in their motor home to Arizona and Mexico, boating and just enjoying life.
He loved his family, he was our protector and provider. We all are grateful for his life and his love and we will forever love and miss him.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of Lacey, 30th Ave. SE and Ruddell Rd. A reception will follow services.
Donations can be made to Faith Assembly or Union Gospel Mission.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater, Washington, 360-357-7743. We invite you to share your thoughts and fond memories with our family by leaving both written and spoken guest book messages at www.millsandmillsfuneralhome.com

Hi Cheryl: Mike and I want to take the opportunity to express our condolences in the loss of Bill. Rondah said she talked with you at the funeral and told us that Bill truly came to know Jesus during his last days. Your faithfulness has been rewarded and surely will continue for you through the coming years. We all have seen the great example you have been for your family. May God bless you abundantly. Bill was at our house a lot visiting with my brother during their school years. I remember how pleased Bill was to earn money and pay for his first vehicle at age 16, a previous state patrol car. I was fortunate enough to know his son Wayne during his high school days. My hears goes out to the family during this time of grief. Ellen Cholski

I remember a lot of fun times in high school spending the weekends at the Huber's house. It was always a fun time and Bill was very entertaining. I will miss that devilish smile of his. My thoughts and prayers are with the Huber family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Bill & Cheryl shared the most important time in my life and growing up, the birth and raising of my daughter, and their grandaughter. Debby and Wayne gave them a new title in life "Grandparents" I watched Bill's gruff exterior change to soft-hearted and always open armed to his grandbaby's. I will always love Bill & Cheryl for opening their hearts and home to Savannah from her 1st B-Day to her graduation party. Bill will remain in all of our best memories, and will be truly missed! We love you Cheryl and are here for you if needed.
Love Always, Shannon & Savannah
