Fred and Rita were the loveliest people to know. My late cousins, John & Betty Swanson, loved them both and enjoyed the stories that went with every frame they purchased at Four Winds. I then started becoming a regular and Fred's "pest", bringing in everything to be more artistically enhanced with his beautiful framing. Rita shared every project and gave me some very treasured etching cards by Eidenberger that she had stowed away. They'll always be in my memories of a lifetime because they were truly treasures in mine.

Dear Maria: Our heart goes out to you. You have been such a blessing to Rita, we remember her fondly at Merrill Gardens. We loved when sister, Elizabeth would visit from Dublin and tell us stories. May God bless you and comfort you during this hard time.

Rita was a neat lady. Fred and I spent a lot of time with her and Fred Shratt. In later years lost touch. I had moved to Spokan.
