Beverly Ann Lindholm

Beverly Ann Lindholm passed away peacefully at her home on March 26, 2011 from glioblastoma brain cancer.
Bev was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on Thanksgiving Day; November 25, 1943. Her parents were Dr. Roy and Bernice Bartel. She graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas with a degree in teaching, in June 1964. Four days later she married her high school sweetheart, Ken Lindholm. Bev's working career followed both her love of children and music. She was an elementary and mid-school teacher, a choir director and obtained her Master's degree to become an Associate in Ministry. She worked at her church for 20 years as choir director. In addition, 10 of those years were as an Associate in Ministry at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lacey, Washington.
She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Gretchen Lindholm of La Center, WA, daughter Liese Hironaka (Wayne) of Elk Grove, CA, and son Derek (Lisa) of University Place, WA and precious grandchildren Bethany Hironaka and Oleg Lindholm. Also surviving are her brother Tom (Jan) Bartel of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Diana (Mike) Dunne of Liberty, MO, along with nephew John (Hailey) Dunne and niece Sarah Dunne.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2901 College Street, S.E., Lacey, WA 98503 at 1:30 p.m., Thursday March 31, 2011. Donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or to Sweet Hope, a nonprofit organization benefiting Russian children's orphanages. MTYLTT.
