Joseph Alfred Kuropatwa

Joseph Alfred Kuropatwa, 70 of Lacey, Washington departed this world Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Joseph was a soldier in the United States Army for 23 years and served 3 tours in Vietnam. During his military career he distinguished himself in combat by earning two bronze stars and three purple hearts. After his career of service to his country he served the state of Washington as a corrections officer for Cedar Creek Corrections Center in Littlerock, Washington for nearly twenty years before retiring. Joseph was a generous loving man who made many sacrifices for his family, and has touched the lives of many.
Mr. Kuropatwa is survived by his wife, Linda K. Kuropatwa; his son, Joseph a. Kuropatwa Jr.; and his granddaughter, Kekela A Kuropatwa.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with inurnment to follow on Friday at 11:15 at Tahoma National in Kent, WA
