Odie Boyd Obituary
Odie passed away on January 13th, 2011 at the age of 70 after a long, brave battle with cancer.
Odie was surrounded by her loving family at her death.
She was born on July 30th, 1940 to Portia and Russell Yuly in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Odie is survived by her husband Bill.
She leaves behind her brothers Don, Duane, Eldon, Rix, Gene, and Danny, and sister Carol.
Her brother Darrell preceded her in death in December, 2009. She also leaves behind her daughters Cheryl Smith of Lacey, Patsy Johnson of Olympia, Jackie McClinton of Tumwater, Debbie Goodman of Lacey, and Pam Bond of Olympia, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren Rachael, Katie, Phillip, Owen, Kellin, Kalea, Jessica, Austin, Karyne, Ashley, Shawn, Kaycee, Courtney, Kenny, Carter, and Colby, and her mother-in-law Dottie. She will be missed by her beloved friend and companion Miss Molly. Odie and Bill have been longtime residents of Tumwater, Washington. She graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1959. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Kirkland. She retired from the Department of Labor & Industries after 18 years. Odie loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and working in her yard.
A memorial service will take place Saturday February 5th, 2011 at 1:00p.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Rd. SW in Tumwater. Condolences may be left at www.millsandmillsfuneralhome.com. The family suggests donations be made to the Thurston County Food Bank, located at 220 Thurston Ave NE, Olympia, WA.

Your mom was my best friend,growing up. Together we had alot of good times and as we got older we shared many happy and sad things together. But i will miss her so much, I LOVE YOU ODIE AND WILL MISS OUR DAILY PHONE CALLS. I already go to the phone to call you and you'rE not there. So sad, but I was lucky to have you as long as i did. My heart goes out to everyone!! I have never met a better family with such a strong bond!! It goes to show you what kind of person Odie was!! I've only known her for a short time but it was a great time while she was here!!! I would like to say Thank You to Odie for accepting my daughter Lacie as one of her own grandchildren!! Lacie misses her dearly!! You will always be in our hearts!!! Miss You!!

Odie I have so many great fun memories of the fun times You,Carol and I had when we would come visit you. It was always a good time and I will always cherish those memories. You will always live in out hearts and prayers. You will be truely missed!
