Robert Kleier Obituary

Robert William Kleier

Robert William Kleier was born on December 3, 1925 and went to join his Lord on Friday March 25, 2011. He was a loving father and husband, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a proud veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He spent 4 years in the Merchant Marines and 23 1/2 years in the Army as a Bomb Disposal Specialist. After he retired from the army in 1973 he took a job as a Rural Carrier in Claremore OK and eventually a Postmaster job also. He retired from the United States Postal Service and went to college to get his Bachelor's Degree in Gunsmithing. He loved being out of doors playing with his beloved dogs and working with his hands or gardening in his, flowers and taking care of his nut and fruit trees'. He was preceded in death by his father Carl B. Kleier and his mother Vera W. Wonder/Smith. Also preceding him in death were his brother Jack Kleier and his sister Phyllis Stanley and wife Jane Kleier. He is survived by his children, Barbara Wright and husband Tulsa, OK, Terry Kleier and wife Pam, Olympia, WA, Ricky Kleier and Friend Sandy, Olympia, WA, Jo Carr Colorado Springs, CO, Lisa Matje and husband Karl, Colville,WA, Robert Kleier and wife Michelle Colville, WA., 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. If you would like to send condolences to the family please direct them to P.O. Box 228 Colville, Wa 99114.
