My Uncle Toby was not only a great singer/musician but also a good friend. Although we didn't get to see each other as much as I would have liked to, everytime we did get together it was like we had just talked yesterday. I have many great memories of Uncle Toby. Holidays at the cabin in Yelm when he would sneak us kids a beer and many nights of just sitting and listening to him play his guitar and sing. Whether he was playing solo at home or out at the bar with his band, his voice was second to none. I could listen for hours. Nashville missed out on one helluva voice. May you rest in peace Uncle Toby. I will miss you dearly.....

The last time I saw Toby was the summer of 2010. Neither one us recognized the other. After naming my ex husband, Toby commented about being best man at my wedding. Toby! All I could say was that people change. I had never seen him in a full beard and he never saw me with hair so short. I have many stories I could relate but where to start; Toby has been like family to me and my first husband Bill (McCarty) and a friend always. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends whose lives he has touched over the years. -Vickie

So sorry to hear of the passing of Toby, he was a very good friend and I will miss him deeply. My heart goes out to his family and to Taryn. My thoughts and prayers are with you all
