I was an economics student at the University of Victoria in 1969 when I first met Jerry in Economics 100. He enjoyed teaching more than anything. He was very inspirational. I can remember the class when his first child was born - he was so happy and wanting to share the experience. Teachers like Jerry are rare and make learning a true joy.

Jerry,
I so enjoyed your seminars at Evergreen. You, Tom and Dave always made me laugh, cry, and think. I will forever cherish my years at Evergreen and especially in your program.
Rest in Peace, sir.
