She was the loving wife of 52 years of Ronald, mother of daughter Lisa and son-in-law, James and grandmother of her two precious, beautiful angels, Tristan and Katrina Hamilton. She will be greatly missed by brother Edward "Butch" Miller and sister in laws, Emily and Peggy Miller, along with nephew Chad, wife Nicol, Logan and Ava, niece, Brooke Miller, along with brother and sister in law, Dick and Georgine Rex, with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends in Illinois, Minnesota, Idaho and Arizona. She and her husband and daughter moved to Vacaville in 1979 from Chicago. She loved Vacaville and the small town atmosphere. Her brother Rick moved here first and eventually the entire family of his followed him.
She as a 24+ year member of the Vacaville Chapter Women of the Moose and served as their recorder for the last 5+ years. She attained the College of Regents Degree with the Red Stole, along with being a Star Recorder and having the Academy of Friendship Degree. She devoted many long hours to the Vacaville Moose Lodge and Chapter, cooking breakfasts, dinners, helping put on the annual Christmas Bazaar and many, many other functions.
She was famous for her skits, pantomimes (the Chinese Waiter, Jerry Lee Lewis, great Balls of Fire, Phantom of the Opera and Barbra Streisand) also her many song parodies, such as the twelve nites of the Christmas Buffet. She loved to write poetry and has two unpublished children's books. She had a gigantic imagination and her creative talent was limitless. We will miss Judy's famous Jello dishes, and wearing always something that lit up and blinked., or that she always wore some sort of holiday head gear, that lit up. She the "Original" creator of the "Moose Cavalcade of Stars" in 1995, along with a case of "30" that put on some 30+ shows at the Vacaville Moose lodge, along with other lodges.
She became a secretary right out of high school, and worked in that position at various businesses for a total of 30 years before retiring in 2005. She was very proud of the fact that from 1986 to 2000 she was the secretary to six different businesses at one location for 14 years of her work career and she did it "All" without a computer. Every office task was done manually, including doing the payroll for each and every business by hand.
Judy loved to decorate her home for Christmas and had her annual brunch with her famous "Potato Pancakes." Judy collected dolls, snowmen, Santa Claus', lighted houses and angels. She loved to entertain her family by playing her keyboard with Christmas Carols. She also loved to play loud enough to let her neighbors at Skylark Mobile Estates enjoy her music. She also enjoyed camping with Ron in their RV trailer. Judy was a true patriot. She loved to wear Red, White and Blue all year long. She cried every time she heard the Star Spangled Banner or saw the flag. She was a believer and brought many to Christ over the years. She loved her God and her country and loved fiercely her family and was proud of each one of them. She will always be their "Guardian Angel."
There will never be another like her.
