Jerald Wallis Obituary

June 30, 1941 - Jan. 26, 2011

Jerald Ray Wallis, 69, of Coarsegoald, Calif., formerly a 22-year Vacaville resident, passed away after a long illness on Jan. 26.

He was born in Okemah, Okla., on June 30, 1941.

Jerald served in the United States Air Force for six years. He then went onto to become a sergeant with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department until 1996 when he retired after 22 years. He also was a campus police officer at Northeastern State University for five years after retiring in 2001.

Jerald was active in the Mormon church. He enjoyed collecting antiques, woodworking and gardening.

Jerald was known by his family as a hardworking man.

He is survived by he wife of 29 years, Christine Anne Wallis; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine (Tim) Lowe and Melissa (Jeremy) Pederson; sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan (Jan) Wallis, Erik (Andrea) Wallis, Curtis Wallis, and Ben Dennis; grandchildren, Jordan Lowe, Jeremy Jr. and Sophia Pederson, Joey Wallis, Anycia, Anthony and Alena Wallis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Marie Wallis and JD Wallis of Orangevale, Calif.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5 at noon at Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, Coarsegoald, Calif.
