Wanda Jeanette Ford (Greenlee), 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 1, surrounded by her family at Sutter Solano Medical Center, Vallejo.
Wanda was born April 6, 1939, in Knoxville Tenn., to Murphy and Maude (Relford) Greenlee. She married William Franklin Ford on March 12, 1955. William and Wanda, with their children, moved to California from Tennessee in 1968.
Wanda thoroughly enjoyed researching her family history using a genealogy program. She also loved spending time with her family and reading.
She is survived by her husband, William Ford Sr. of Fairfield; sons, Billy (Bernice) Ford of Chicago, Randy (Carolyn) Ford and Ricky Ford, all of Fairfield; daughter, Robin (Thom) Demattei of Belmont; grandkids, Christy, Krystal, Melissa, Robby, Brianna, Samantha and R.J.; as well as 5 great-grandkids; sisters, Nelia Capps and Linda Mendenhall; and brother, Phillip Greenlee, all from Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Maude Greenlee; her brother, Lawrence Greenlee; her son, Joey Ford; and her grandson, Jay Lee Ford.
Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, Fairfield. Prior to the services, a visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
