JAMES M. BALDOVSKY James M. Baldovsky, 59, of Franconia Township, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was the husband of Marie (DeWitt) Baldovsky. Born May 10, 1954 in Kingston, PA, James was a son of Marjorie (Gorewich) Baldovsky of Wilkes-Barre and the late John Baldovsky. He graduated from Mansfield University in 1976 and was a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Session 174). James was a retired Patrol Sergeant and K9 Officer with the Towamencin Township Police Department, serving for 25 years, and started his career in law enforcement as a patrolman/K9 handler with the Hatfield Police Department in 1978. After his retirement, he served as a Corporal with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. In addition to his wife and mother, James is survived by his children, Steven Baldovsky of Washington, DC, and Matthew Baldovsky of Los Angeles, CA; and brother, John Norman Baldovsky of Harleysville. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday March 15, at Christ United Methodist Church, 1020 S. Valley Forge Rd., Lansdale, where a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' name to the United States Police Canine Association (Region 6), Secretary - Sgt. Cheryl Ann Simkanin, P.O. Box #1385, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
