Joey Matlock Obituary
He was born June 29, 1964, to Johnnie Carroll and Mary Elizabeth (Lucas) Matlock in Cape Girardeau.
He was united in marriage to Rhonda Hardin. She survives.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Matlock; one son, Nick Matlock of West Paducah; two daughters, Beth Matlock of Jonesboro and Amanda Matlock of Jackson; parents, Mary and Johnnie Carroll Matlock of McClure; one brother, Troy (Stacey) Matlock of McClure; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Karen Hardin of Stonefort; one stepdaughter, Lyndsi (Austin) Apple of Harrisburg; two stepsons, Dustin Gunning of Harrisburg and Landon Hoh of Harrisburg; one grandson, Lucas Matlock of Jonesboro; one granddaughter, Madison Matlock of West Paducah; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services for Joey D. Matlock will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd., Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Gail Fuhr officiating. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, April 8, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family to offset final expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.

My thoughts prayers and condolances goes out to the family of Joey Matlock , I went to school with him at Shawnee. and remember him , and I was surprised to read that he has passed away . again my condolances to his family .

Rhonda, I am so sorry for your loss. Joey was a great guy. I didn't know him very long, but I admired him for the love he showed his family and for his strength. The smile he always had on his face was so encouraging to others. We will miss him at the Infusion Center. God bless.
