Barbara Beers Obituary
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with the Rev. Dr. Michael Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in No. 8 Cemetery, east of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Johnston City.
Barbara was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Herrin, the daughter of Luther and Bonnie (Smith) Kinley.
She married Marvin "Ray" Beers Sr., and he preceded her in death July 24, 2007.
Barbara was a member of First United Methodist Church of Johnston City. She worked in tax preparation and accounting.
She was very close to her family.
Survivors include her mother of Johnston City; four sons, David Beers and wife, Darla, of Herrin, Ray Beers and Vance Beers, both of Corinth, and Jason Beers and wife, Sherry, of Johnston City; 15 grandchildren, Dusty, Brittany, Dalton, Greenlee, Corey, Kelcie, Colt, Michayla, Stoney, Briar, Fallon, Jamie, Toni, Cooper and Kalla; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Izabella, Ariah, Gracelynn, Kyler, Brody, Gabriel and Audrina; two brothers, William Kinley and wife, Betty, and Earl Kinley and wife, Alisa, all of Johnston City; sister, Jean Ann Ray and husband, Harry Jr., of Johnston City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and grandson, Hayden Abbott Beers.
