Cecil Fite Obituary
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale with Kerry Cox officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Cecil was born June 29, 1925, in Cobden to Carl and Edna (Odle) Renshaw.
She worked for the city of Carbondale as a receptionist and retired in 1990. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Carbondale and Moose Lodge.
Cecil was a loving mother, who dedicated her life to her three children, and she will be loved eternally.
Survivors include one son, Ron Crawshaw and wife, Pamela, of Makanda; two daughters, Rhonda Walsh and husband, Stephen, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Tereasa Crawshaw of Cobden; grandsons, Nathan Crawshaw, Craig Walsh and Mike Walsh and wife, Kelly; granddaughter, Jessica Walsh; and great-granddaughter, Mia Walsh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters.
The family wants to thank Terri Cross and Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Cecil was one of the sweetest dearest women I’ve ever known. She put up with so much from us and just continued be there for you. The early 70s was a tough time to have teenagers. She holds a special place in my heart

So sad for all of you. Your mom was such a special person. She had a profound influence on my teenage years - always there for us even though she had to work so much. We weren't easy and she was so great about all the turmoil. She will be missed by so many. I will be thinking of you all.
