Mildred Liles Obituary

ANNA -- Mildred Liles, 77, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at her home.

She was born April 9, 1934, in Makanda, the daughter of Louie Oliver and Ida Mae (Rhodes) Turner.

She married John Semyck on Oct. 4, 1952, and he preceded her in death March 22, 1971. She then married Wesley Liles on Sept. 7, 1978, and he preceded her in death September 1995.

She was a member of Anna First Nazarene Church. She enjoyed making latch hook rugs.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley (Richard) Hill and Annie (Ralph) Cole, all of Jonesboro, and Melissa Grimes of Dongola; one son, Robert (Wendy) Semyck of Tecumseh, Mo.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Jean Ayers of Balcom and Dean Ayers of Jonesboro; two brothers, Kenneth Turner of Marseilles and Donald Turner of Jonesboro; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons, John Joseph Semyck III and Kevin Leroy Semyck; and two sisters, Anna Lee Trexler and Zelda Barnett.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with Dr. Richard Keeley officiating. Interment will be in Anna City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made for a headstone and will be accepted at Crain Funeral Home.
