Gladys Larry Obituary

OLMSTED -- Gladys Larry, 89, died at 12:08 p.m. Saturday June 4, 2011, in St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Olmsted, the daughter of Eulis and Flora Belle (Hiatt) Rainwater.

She married James M. Larry Sr. on Oct. 25, 1945. He preceded her in death June 21, 2004.

She was a retired seamstress at M. Snower Company. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski and the Eastern Star Chapter 587.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Randy) Neely of Olmsted; two sons, Jim (Brenda) Larry and Darrell (Fern) Larry, all of Olmsted; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Stacy) Larry, Allen (Tina) Jordan, Brad (Sharrol) Jordan, Gail (Joe) Dluhy, Randel (Karen) Neely, Sheena (Ronnie Mays Jr.) Neely and Brian Neely; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Flora Belle Wilson, of Godfrey; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandchild, Cedric Larry; and four sisters, Reba Slater, Juanita Kampchroder, Beatrice Atkins and Corine Clancy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, with the Rev. Clark Short officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, in Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.

Memorial contributions may be made to DayStar Care Center-Activity Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
