Dear Moore Family,
Gene was a great influence on my life and that of my classmates through Herrin Jr. High Band during the early 1970's. His army stories and jazz clarinet playing are still pleasant memories. He used to have a sign above the chalkboard in the band room that read, "Be reasonable, do it my way"
