Colleen Beer Obituary
Colleen was born Oct. 18, 1929, in Spring Valley.
She married Donald R. Beer in 1953. He preceded her in death July 11, 2004. Colleen was also preceded in death by her parents, William Klein and Laura (Meisal) Klein; and her sister, Vivian (Klein) Schmidt.
She is survived by her sons, Nat Beer of Marseilles; Jeffrey Beer of Chicago; and Gary Beer of Carterville, daughters in-law, Barbara (Bennett) Beer of Marseilles and Mary (Klancnik) Beer of Carterville; and grandchildren, Raymond Beer of Champaign and and Julia Beer of Carterville.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and buried next to her husband in Roanoke. Memorial service arrangements are still incomplete.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society at www.humanesociety.org.
