I think of Boop often. I knew him from the '40's when we lived next door to one another during WWII, me at the LaClede Hotel and Boop on the corner. We worked together at my Dad's firm most of the summers of the fifties and some of the sixties. Boop was a special person and one of the special people in my life. I will not forget him.

We've known "Boop" since 1963; back when I was an apprentice plumber. He oversaw many of the projects that I worked on and he was always a great guy to be around; a real gentleman. My wife, Margie Kupel Held has known him for years too; and we were deeply saddened to hear of his passing. You have our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathies. May God bless.

Anna Mae, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
You and Boop have always been way high up in my list of favorite people. Boop goes all the way back to my grade school days and when we lived close to one another at the LaClede Hotel. And, of course, all those wonderful times we had working together in some of the hottest places in Southern Illinois, surveying this or that property. I'm so glad we were able to get together in October 2009.
In our Lord's care now.

Anna Mae & Anne: I'm thinking of you at this most difficult time. Anne, memories come back to me of when you were just a little thing. We were always so glad to see you after your arrival, but we had to look way up, as your very tall dad always carried you. Mom always kidded your mom and dad that you wouldn't learn to walk because your feet never touched the ground. My prayers are with you both, Linda Crews

Howie, over the past 35 years you have been my boss/friend and sometimes like a brother/father figure to me. Thank you for standing up for me in the times that I needed help the most when I screwed up. We had a lot of good times and a few not-so-good ones. Let's remember the good ones. Thanks for introducing me to all of your friends. Some have passed. Some are still with us. You have been a big influence in my life, BOOP. Love Mikie. P.S. Dear Mae and Annie, I'm thinking of you both. Be strong.
