Josie King Obituary
Josie was born April 27, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale to David E. and Heather Jo (Rossin) King.
She enjoyed being close to her mommy and daddy and being outside on the deck on warm sunshiny days.
She loved listening to lullabies and sleeping in her swing. She brought much joy to those around her and will be deeply missed.
Josie liked going to Lone Oak Baptist Church with her mom and dad and had perfect attendance.
Survivors include mother and father, David and Heather King of Herrin; big sister, Madilyn Rose King; maternal grandfather, Bobby Rossin and wife, Ronna, of West Frankfort; maternal grandmother, Candance Hillyer of Auburndale, Fla.; maternal great-grandparents, Bob and Virginia Rossin of Herrin; maternal great-grandparent, Kathleen Moon of Mount Vernon; maternal great-grandparent, Roberta Owsley of Spillertown; paternal grandparents, John and Bonnie King of Mercer, Pa.; and several aunts and uncles, Shawn Rossin of Marion; Michael Findley and wife, Jennifer, of Freeman Spur, Danney Findley and wife, Stacy, of Pittsburg, Paul King and wife, Jennifer, of Girard, Pa., and Mary Elizabeth King of Cincinnati; cousins, Toby Rossin, Emberlyn Rossin, Brandon Findley, Ryan Findley, Brenda Findley, Isaiah Findley, Tristian Phillips, MaKayla King and Rebecca King.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, in Lone Oak Baptist Church in Herrin with Pastor Jerry Schell officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials donations are suggested to American Heart Association or to the family and will be accepted at the church or Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home, 201 S. 13th St., Herrin, IL 62948.
