Tonya Duty Obituary

COBDEN -- Tonya K. Duty, 59, died at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born July 11, 1951, in Carbondale, the daughter of C.R. and Audrey Bryant Dusch. She married Francis Duty on July 11, 1974, in Murphysboro.

Tonya is survived by her husband, Francis Duty of Cobden; four children, Adam (Becky) Duty of Cobden, Tara Stanley of Carbondale, Darrin (Tonya) Duty of Alto Pass, Diana Duty of Alto Pass; mother, Audrey Dusch of Carbondale; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Tony Dusch of Kentucky; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She graduated from Shawnee Community College as a certified nurse assistant.

A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the family home at 125 Duty Lane in Cobden.

Services and burial will be private at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the family home and Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
