Decatur
Funeral for Rebecca "Becky" Marie Byrd, 56, of Decatur will be Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Harold Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Byrd died Monday, August 20, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born February 14, 1956, in Michigan to Clinton Jerol Byrd and Mary Marie Busbey Byrd. Ms. Byrd was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Decatur. She was a retired nurse who worked for Decatur General Hospital. Her father preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Christy Byrd Sheats (Jason), Houston, Texas; mother, Mary Marie Busbey Byrd, Decatur; two sisters, Sheila Mooney (Marshall Kim), Decatur, Rosa Segars (Joe), Hartselle; two grandchildren, Taylor Sheats and Madison Sheats; and precious dear lifelong friends, Denise and Forrest Keith and Rodney Lazenby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial Fund for Becky Byrd at PNC Bank of Decatur.

Christy, Taylor, Madison, Jason and the Byrd Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss, may God bless you and give you comfort.I know Becky suffered a lot with all the health probles she had. Our Loed tells us to be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord. To be him him is a much greater place than to be here suffering. She has no pain or suffering now only God's blessings.

So sorry to here about Beck passing, this is a grate loss to all her family and friends. I gradated school with Becky and she always had a smile on her face and a personality that was out of this world. Becky will be missed by everyone that she has come in contact with threw the years here on earth. I know the ANGLES are rejoicing to have Becky in the mist.
Prayers to the family may Beck rest in peace.
