EVAN (JOHN) EVANOFF February 25, 1930 - January 1, 2009 A man such as Evan rarely passes our way. In his inimitable style, Evan completed his most difficult and final marathon. God bless his soul . Evan retired as head of mathematics at Woburn Collegiate in 1987, he taught mathematics, early in his career, at both Earl Haig Collegiate and Oshawa Central Collegiate. Evan was predeceased by his parents, Marin and Raina Evanoff. Beloved husband of June (Ilson) for 54 years, father of Janis (Jamie), Valerie (Fred), John (Kim), Corrine (Michael), Alison (Carl). Loving Papa to Tommy and Chrissy Tereshyn, Alexander and Brendan Gnydjenko, Richard and Joel Evanoff, Liam and Tre Folkes. Family and friends will be received at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd. (east of St. Clair) on Sunday, January 4th from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service to take place in the Chapel on Monday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evan's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I can't remember a time when 'Coot'
Mr. Evanoff was not in our lives. I always remember him as the extremely fit and smart friend of my father and that they were best friends growing up in East York.
