Mary Anne Timmermann

TIMMERMANN - The death of Mrs. Mary Anne (nee Willenborg) Timmermann of St. Mary's Villa, Humboldt, (and formerly of St. Gregor), occurred at her residence on Tuesday, August 9, 2005. She was 87 years of age. Mary was born on September 29, 1917, to Herman and Maria (nee Abeling) Willenborg in Beverbruch, Oldenburg, Germany. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1928, and they made their home in the Annaheim district. Mary attained her education at Arras Country School. On November 4, 1936, she married John Timmermann. Eleven children, five sons and six daughters, were born to them. Mary and John farmed near St. James for five years before moving to St. Gregor, where they continued to farm for a number of years. Mary was a member of the St. Gregor C.W.L. and of the Senior Citizens' Club. In April of 1992, Mary and John moved into Humboldt. Throughout the years, Mary enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Each of Mary's grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she just loved it when they came to visit and play cards with her. Mary was a very kind and gracious lady, whose warm smile and gentle nature will not soon be forgotten. Mary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by ten children: Alfred (Joan) Timmermann of Melville; Ed (Pat) Timmermann of Victoria, BC; Sylvia (Bert) Thiemann, and Ron Timmermann, all of Humboldt; Jack (Judy) Timmermann of Saskatoon; Rita (Vern) Work of Vanderhoof, BC; Edna (Harold) Fraser of Humboldt; Linda (Larry) Angeli of Calgary, AB; Pat (Russell) Szautner of Humboldt; and Judy (Ken) Thiemann of Morinville, AB; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers: John (Doreen) Kleefeld, and Fred (Leona) Kleefeld; one sister, Charlotte (Joe) Kuemper; sister-in-law, Shirley Kleefeld; many in-laws of the Timmermann family; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Timmermann (June 16, 1993); son, Leo Timmermann; parents, Herman and Maria (nee Abeling) Willenborg; step-father, John Kleefeld; three brothers and four sisters: Joe (Elizabeth) Willenborg, Elizabeth (Louis) Bley, Johanna (Nienaber) Ortman, Sepha (Joe) Holtvogt, Paula (Ben) Vogelsang, Gus (Bernice) Willenborg, and Frank Kleefeld; and by many in-laws of the Timmermann family. Public visitation will be held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, on Thursday, August 11, 2005, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at 7:30 p.m., and the Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, August 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Fr. Rudolph Novecosky, OSB, with both services held at St. Gregory R.C. Church, St. Gregor. Interment will follow at St. Gregory R.C. Cemetery.
