Wanda SKOWORODKO Obituary
Wanda lost her hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer with her family at her side. She joined her Lord and Savior as well as her parents on August 10, 2012. She was born in Regina SK, on April 29th 1958. Left to remember her is her loving husband of 36 years Lawrence, son Steven (Michelle), grandchildren Jackson, Tyler, Noah and Danika, daughter Andrea (Brad), sisters Lorrie (Lori) Moffat, Diane (Hans) Scherdtel, brother-in-law Dennis (Karen) Skoworodko, Father and Mother In-law Rev Steve & Martha Skoworodko, nieces and nephews; Robin, Colin, Natalee, Alea, Jarin, and Brennan. She was predeceased by her Father Don in 1966, Mother Phyllis in 1986. She will also be dearly missed by many friends and family. Mom was always a ray of sunshine in the family. She and Dad moved to Wakaw Lake from Saskatoon in 2006. The lake was one of Mom's loves, from the peacefulness to the spectacular sunsets with many pictures to prove it. When not entertaining, Mom spent so much time with nature enjoying tending her flowers, trees and bird feeders. She also loved the numerous motorcycle trips and took the dream trip of her life to New Zealand this last February. Her grandchildren were her world and each of them had a special place in her heart. Mom was employed as an Optometric Dispenser in Saskatoon and she truly enjoyed her work, the patients, doctors and staff that she worked alongside. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church (1636 Acadia Drive Saskatoon) on Wednesday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mandi Hecht officiating In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Wanda's name to the Palliative Care Unit - St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, 1702 20th Street West, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7M 0Z9. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grondin Funeral Services in Biggar. The family would like to thank the St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate and astounding care Mom received. Peace at last – Be Free Mom.

Lawrence, Steven and Andrea,
Even though we've fallen out of touch since we've moved out to BC we have thought of you and prayed for you often over the past couple of months as we've heard reports from you and from our parents about the difficult time you've been going through. I have very fond memories of Wanda, and can only imagine all that you have to draw upon as you celebrate her life and grief her loss. The beautiful diamond on Lindsay's finger constantly reminds us of what a good family we are apart of Lawrence.
