Published by Saskatoon StarPhoenix on Sep. 5, 2012.
MITCHELL, Dorothy (Potts)
1915 - 2012
On Friday, August 31st, Dorothy passed away peacefully at Langham Senior Citizen Home with family and friend at her side. Predeceased by her husband Arnold Mitchell. Dorothy was born in Asquith and spent most of her life on the farm. She spent a lot of time training and showing horses. In 1975 Dorothy moved to Asquith. Here she took part in the writers club, the seniors centrer and enjoyed playing scrabble and tile rummy with friends. She moved to Saskatoon in 2005 and to Langham in 2011, where she was happy and was very well cared for by the staff and enjoyed other residents company. We would like to thank all the staff for the special and loving care shown to Dorothy. At Dorothy's request there will be no service. Thank you from the Faulkner, Lake, Cleghorn, Swidrovich and Down families. Arrangements in care of Morning Glory Funeral Home.

Mom was a childhood friend of Dorthy's when they lived north of Asquith, went to school together at Grasby. We visited Dorothy and Arnold when we lived at Perdue, and later Dorothy in Asquith. I just happened to notice this so thought I would pass on my condolences to the family.
