1921 - 2012
Marie passed peaceably on Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Kinistino Jubilee Lodge. Marie was predeceased by Lloyd, her husband of 23 years, sisters Marjorie Burwell and Jean Acker, brother Jack Mather, her father TWJ Mather and her mother Margaret Mather. She is survived by her sister Isabelle Campbell, one niece Lynn Needham and four nephews Tom Burwell, Trevor Treen, John Mather and Bill Mather. Marie was born in Asquith, SK where she attended and graduated from High School. After graduating from the College of Pharmacy U of S she practiced as a pharmacist in several Saskatchewan locations prior to settling in Kinistino and joining the Mather's Drug Store family business. Marie and Lloyd were very active in the Kinistino community, particularly the legion, the Zion Lutheran church and the Half Century Club. A celebration of Marie's life will take place at the Zion Lutheran Church in Kinistino Friday August 17th, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Father Chris Harper presiding. Arrangements are entrusted to Kelly Bonk Melfort Funeral Home. At Marie's request, in lieu of flowers anyone wishing to do so is asked to make memorial donations to Kinistino Jubilee Lodge, Kinistino Sask.
