Carrie Belle Derrick GILBERT - Services for Carrie Belle Derrick, 92, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Union Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Bill Ebener officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Lutheran Church, 4077 Hwy 378 Leesville, SC 29070 or a charity of your choice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family. Mrs. Derrick, widow of William J. B. "Jack" Derrick, passed away Sunday October 9, 2016. Born In Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Albert Lamar and Sarah Pearl Paysinger Banks. She was a member of Union Lutheran Church, WELCA, Delmar Community Club and the Birthday Club. Mrs. Derrick will be remembered for her quilting, apple pies and yeast bread. She is survived by daughters, Barbara "Jean" Murray and Frances Bouknight (Horace), brother, Billy Banks, sister, Fannie Banks, 2 grandchildren, Richard Murray, Mendi Tucker (Choya), 3 great grandchildren, Justin Murray (Taylor), Derek Tucker (Abbygale), Taylor Tucker and 1 great great grandchild, Cason Murray.
