To the entire family, Gene was a wonderful man who left such a powerful and inspirational legacy. He will always be remembered fondly as a man who lived his faith, not by words but by deed. He is truly blessed to be home with his Savior.

Gene was such an inspiration to me, especially during my high school and college years. He gave me numerous opportunities and taught me so much about life and what a Christian man looks like. I have so many fond memories (and stories) from the many hours I spent with Gene in the hay fields and horse barn and looking over a dogs back hoping for a large covey. Emily, you and your family are in our prayers. With much love and appreciation.
