Brittini Ward Obituary

IRMO - Brittini Lauren Ward, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Irmo, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and granddaughter, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Born in Ridgewood, NJ, February 2, 1987, she was the oldest daughter of Dawn Wheeler Ward of Charlotte and Frank Ward of Atlanta, GA. She relocated with her family to South Carolina in 1997 and graduated from Dutch Fork High School, soon attending Columbia College to pursue an elementary education degree. She enjoyed art and design, winning numerous awards for her work. A major highlight was her award-winning design for the official t-shirt for the 2002 Irmo Okra Strut Festival held in Irmo. Brittini's smile brightened and enlightened all around her, displaying both physical and inner beauty to others. She was a Christian young lady and attended the Irmo, St. Andrews, and Sardis congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. Brittini is survived by her siblings, sisters, Nakesha Ward of Atlanta, GA, Carlie Ward, Fallon Ward and Kyia Ward of Charlotte, brother, Blake Ward of Irmo, grandparents, Moses and Gertude Wheeler of Columbia, James and Gloria Ward of Montgomery, AL, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 704-333-1167, is assisting the family in their time of need. We want to express our sincerest gratitude for all love and support, as well as prayers extended in behalf of the Wheeler and Ward families.

I had the pleasure of attending Columbia College with Brittini. She was truly a sweet person with a sweet spirit. I do regret my late message upon just receiving this information. But I will say she will be and still is greatly missed. Delighted to have had the opportunity to have come in contact with her many times. My prayers are still with the family. Truly was a beautiful person inside and out. I'm sure she's resting peacefully.

Brittini is a student I had the pleasure of spending much time with at Columbia College. Her quietness always drew me closer to her as her "mentor." My heart is greatly saddened by this loss, but I rejoice that she is now among the angels. God bless each of you in the family. She was a very sweet spirit and will surely be missed.

My heart is broken. I remember her meek exuberance and wonderful talent. Sending many prayers to Jehovah to keep comforting the Ward and Wheeler families during this time of distress. (2 Cor.1:3,4)

My heart ache and is bursting with not understanding how this can happen to such a loving and beautiful young woman. Yet, it is taken right out of the bible at 2Tim. 3:1-5 clearly. However, the sadness we feel and our tear stain faces remind us of how very important in this time of the end to stick ever closer to Jehovah and his organization and not to this world. Our sadness and loss now is the production of what Satan's world has to offer. The Vinson's family send our heart felt sympathies, prayers and brotherly love

I did not know Brittini personally but if she was remotely like the rest of her family that i have met and know i know she was both a joy and blessing to be around and will surely be missed. Rest for now Brittini....rest in peace. To the family, just hold on to each other and be there for each other.

I can find no words adequate for what you and your family must be experiencing. The Bible tells us: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:8) One of the principal ways to draw close to God is through prayer. Do not underestimate its value! The Bible makes this comforting promise: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:18) It also assures us: “Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you.” (Psalm 55:22) Please know that many prayers on your behalf are being sent up as ‘smoke’ to our God (Rev 8:4). With brotherly love and affection, Earl

Brittini and I were classmates at both Dutch Fork and Columbia College. We would always speak to each other and I just remember Brittini always had a beautiful smile on her face and was so friendly. Her presence here with us will be missed. I will keep her family in my prayers and thoughts. May God bless each and every one of her family members I pray He holds all of you closer to Him now more than ever.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
