Judy "Golda" McDowell CAMDEN - A memorial service to celebrate the life of Golda "Judy" Weathers McDowell, 89, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Judy's memory to The Crazy Horse Memorial, 12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730. Judy, widow of Edward Niles "Ned" McDowell, died Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born in Greer, SC, the daughter of the late John Roland Weathers and Edna Pauline Joye Weathers. Judy was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Judy is survived by her sons, John "Jack" V. McDowell and Paul E. McDowell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edward Niles McDowell; and her brother, Claude R. Weathers. The family would like to especially thank the staff of Springdale Healthcare Center for the wonderful care given to Judy while she was in their care.
