Paul Scibetta Obituary

PAUL SCIBETTA SR.

GODFREY — Paul J. Scibetta Sr., 83, formerly of Niagara Falls, N.Y., went to be with his Lord at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Eunice C. Smith Nursing Home in Alton.

Born June 4, 1931, in Niagara Falls, he was the son of Dominic and Rose (Ullo) Scibetta.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Niagara Falls, where he served as choir director for many years.

On May 24, 1952, in Niagara Falls, he married Doris Fisher.

He is survived by a daughter, Jo Pauline Hampshire, and her husband, Jerry, of Godfrey; two sons, Dominick Scibetta and his wife, Kathie, of Center Moriches, N.Y., and Paul J. Scibetta Jr. of Brantford, Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Josephine Bongiovanni and Vincenette Marcantonio; one brother, Joseph B. Scibetta; four grandchildren, Zachary Hampshire and his wife, Amber, Ryan Hampshire and his wife, Jaime, Dominica Scibetta and Gabriel Scibetta; four great-grandchildren, Quentin, Emily, Ethan and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, and by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m.Friday, June 20, 2014, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 9 a.m.Saturday, June 21. Pastor Roy Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey with full military honors by the VFW Post 1308
