James Canzano Obituary
Born May 4, 1957, in Jersey City, N.J., he was the son of Nicolas Canzano of Secaucus, N.J., and the late Catherine (Holden) Canzano. He was a graduate of William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City, and attended Jersey City Community College for one year. He was employed for the past 15 years at Hendrick Manufacturing, Carbondale, as a multi-press operator and also worked for RR Donnelley, formerly of Dunmore, as an operations manager and H&M International Freight Co., Jersey City. As a child, he loved playing baseball and was a Hudson All County Baseball champion. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carbondale, and was an avid Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Syracuse fan.
He is also survived by a son, Marc James Canzano, Carbondale; two daughters, Jamie Canzano, North Bergen, N.J.; and Lizabeth Canzano, Secaucus; two granddaughters, Destini Rose Barkasy and Neela Chiaro; two grandsons, RaJon Chiaro Jr. and Rocco Chiaro; a sister, Christine Morrisey, Secaucus; a brother, Nicholas Canzano and wife, Jane, East Rutherford, N.J.; a niece, Kristin Pinyan; a nephew, Michael Canzano; two ex-wives, Avaline Chiaro, Carbondale; and Lizabeth Bonilla, New Jersey; a friend, Kelly Heenan, Carbondale; and a sister-in-law, Nevada Chiaro, Carbondale.
A blessing service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Farview & 41st streets, Carbondale. Cremation will follow.
